About Us
As women, we often see our hair as a reflection of our identity, primarily on the basis that it is both personal and public. This explains why many women equate bad hair to a bad day in general. When a woman’s hair is too ratty, too frizzy, too dry, turning grey or falling out, her self-worth is often affected in radical ways.
With an awareness of hair and its revealing and/or empowering capabilities for women all over the world, LaShanda Poledore, otherwise known as Redd, hand crafted the makings of Queen Choice Hair - Houston, with a considerable specialty in Remy and Virgin hair.
As history has shown us, hair is a symbol of femininity. If you’ve heard it before, know it to be true…hair is a crown of magnificence and splendor and it’s often got little to do with vanity as much as it has to do with an intrinsic confidence which oftentimes can’t be achieved elsewhere. This deep personal relationship between hair and confidence is apparent all through history, philosophy and even religious convictions abroad.
These truths are what drove Shanda to the hair industry because she, through watching women in her family as well as growing and realizing the authenticity that hair gives women of all races, creeds, and tax brackets, came to appreciate the feeling she could provide an assortment of women who, for a myriad of reasons, are attracted to hair extensions.
In Shanda tenure she’s experienced the highs and lows of it through watching the Atlanta hair market increase but more so empathizing with those who were being deceived with regard to what real quality hair is. Due to this, she began testing an assortment of hair types, including Malaysian, Peruvian, Indian and more. Once she was met with an authentic product which would give women the added value they were all seeking, she set out on her quest to bring her vision to light…stumbling here and there as we all do; Nevertheless, her vision brought her back home to Houston, TX, where the revelation became a realism fit only for a Queen whose deserving of such a choice.
